Self-Healing is a recovery process from psychological and emotional wounds, motivated and guided by a person's own inner wisdom. To facilitate that, I bring together the expressive arts, meditation practices, and community to promote holistic healing, consciousness expansion, and embodied experience.

In inviting a relationship between the conscious and the unconscious mind, we create space for memories and emotions stored in the body and below the surface of consciousness to rise into awareness. That way, we can explore and process them in creative ways, in the present moment's safety.
Each person is unique, as we are all shaped by our personal experiences. They leave in us a series of imprints from which we form our identities and narratives. So imagine that there is an entire universe within you. A universe that is particular and mostly unknown. Wouldn't it be amazing to explore its landscapes, its inhabitants, and everything else that constitutes it? That's what I am inviting you to do: travel inwards to get to know yourself intimately, allowing the journey to transform you in ways yet unknown.

Contrary to many meditation traditions that often ask you to bypass discomfort in your body and focus on observing thoughts, counting the breath, or repeating mantras, Somatic Meditation takes on a body-centered approach to awareness practice and personal development. It invites you to experience your body as the ground of your personal & spiritual growth, and uncover within yourself the wisest guide and Self-healer you can ever know. Call it Bodyfulness, if you will.
To support you with deepening intimacy with your physical, emotional, mental, and energetic bodies and how they intercommunicate, we offer practices that include and are not limited to somatic awareness, gentle movement, and light breathwork.

Ana Liz is a Brazilian-born and Los Angeles-based Somatic Practitioner & Educator. She is a certified Meditation and Mindfulness educator specializing in Somatic Meditation, an Expressive Arts Practitioner, and the founder of Embodied Creatures.
Ana has spent over 10 years deepening her studies of bodymind+heart practices toward healing and personal and spiritual growth. She created Embodied Creatures to invite others to walk the path together and offer her embodied wisdom through an experimental body+art-based approach. Ana knows that each of us can take our well-being into our own hands and is committed to empowering people to inhabit their Selves and embrace the depths of their light and shadow with radical curiosity and love.
