I understand that the rising cost of living can make one-to-one work less accessible. This group offers a more affordable way to engage in transformative therapeutic work.
Over the years, I’ve come to understand that isolation takes a toll on our health, while community fosters healing. Authentic expression held within a supportive communal space can be life-changing. It was for me, and I hope it can be just as transformative for you.
MY APPROACH
My approach is grounded in the Tamalpa Life/Art Process® (TLAP), an internationally renowned method integrating somatic movement and expressive arts.

Widely used in therapy, education, performance, and social justice initiatives, TLAP integrates somatics and the creative process to reconnect us to the innate wisdom of the body, supporting healing, expanded creativity, and individual + social change.

At the heart of this practice is embodied awareness. We engage our life experiences and personal narratives through the somatic arts process, observing what arises in the physical body (felt sense), mind (thoughts, memories, imagination), and emotions; creatively investigating these relationships. By leaning into the body’s natural intelligence, we uncover pathways to deeper intimacy with ourselves, others, and the world around us, and to experience more vitality and well-being.

My approach is rooted in the understanding that our bodies carry both the imprints of our lived experiences and the maps and portals to access our stories, healing, and transformative potential.

In addition to the Tamalpa methodology, I draw upon various practices and tools learned from 15+ years of experience at the intersection of art and healing, through professional and personal studies and experiences. These include meditation and mindfulness (from both Buddhist and secular perspectives), experimental theater, parts work (IFS-informed), feminism, psychoanalysis, and most recently, a healing journey through breast cancer that was both medical and deeply spiritual.

My approach is deeply rooted in cultural humility and shaped by an expansive awareness of gender, class, and race. I view checking my biases and assumptions as an essential, ongoing practice.
Central to my work is a return to ourselves—a process of softening the overactive mind and the rigid body, cultivating embodied and relational awareness, and intentionally tending to what we find. This reconnection also extends to the natural world, whose wisdom is foundational in our journey.

Through these practices, profound insights arise, creating possibilities for meaningful shifts that enhance well-being and enrich our experience of life.
