An exploration of pleasure beyond sex.
A gentle, embodied process for women who want to feel more deeply and take their pleasure back.
Through somatic movement and expressive arts practice, at the pace of the body, we'll explore what has kept pleasure dimmed and what lights it up.
Pleasure is a sensory experience
But how much of it are you really feeling?
For many of us, the answer is not much.
Sometimes not at all.
We all develop somatic holding patterns: the clenched jaw, the shallow breathing, the subtle yet persistent tension in the belly, chest, hips, are only a few examples of bracing that protected us when feeling fully seemed unsafe.
But a body that has learned to hold against pain also holds against pleasure.
For women who’ve learned that safety means vigilance and self-control, softening may feel risky, but it’s what brings us back to alignment and sovereignty.
Pleasure is a nourishing, healing experience that can’t be forced. Striving is its own kind of gripping, and reinforces the holding patterns. Pleasure can only be allowed. It unfolds in a body that can soften, breathe openly, and pulse with sensation, feeling, movement, and imagination.
Returning to Pleasure is an invitation to meet what holds you back with curiosity instead of shame, and to cultivate, slowly and sweetly, a body that can feel deliciously good.
Invitations:
Soften the holding patterns that dull sensation, shaping the body anew.
Awaken pleasure in the senses, in movement, in creativity, in shared practice.
Reclaim the erotic as aliveness, creativity, and personal power beyond sex.
Be held and artfully reflected in an intimate circle of women.
The Process
Somatic Movement · Expressive Arts · Grounded in the Tamalpa Life/Art Process®
Eight guided experiential sessions, each building on what came alive in the one before, moving through three turns of the spiral rather than a straight line; giving the body space and opportunity to learn to trust, relax, and awaken.
Turn 1
Building the Foundation
1. Map and Territory: the pleasure story and the body
2. Meeting the Protection / Armor
Turn 2
Deepening and Expanding
3. Pleasure in the Senses
4. Pleasure in Movement
5. Pleasure in Creative Expression
6. Pleasure in Non-Sexual Relationship
7. Pleasure in the Pause
~ Interlude: Solo pleasure in your own time ~
Turn 3
Sharing and Closing
8. Homecoming: Authoring a new pleasure story in the body
The erotic is sensual and creative
Eroticism isn’t only sex. It’s the current of aliveness and creativity that pulses within our bodies. The intention here is not simply to understand pleasure, but to cultivate a body that can receive it, generate it, and sustain it.
What Women Are Saying
"Every time I leave one of Ana Liz’s workshops, I feel I’ve gone deeper into myself and found more freedom. The safe space she creates, her creative practices, and the group make it easier to explore parts of myself I might otherwise avoid, with compassion instead of self-judgment. I’m truly grateful for the chance to keep discovering, growing, and connecting through her work.”
- Merve Y.
"This work invites us to meet the shadow not as an adversary, but as something to witness, using the body and creative expression to reveal what the mind keeps hidden. The group is a mirror for honestly acknowledging where we are. Where similar spaces lean on manifesting or positive thinking, Ana Liz guides us to meet what’s there with a rare realness that is healing."
- Genesis H.
"This work exceeded my expectations. It allowed me to revisit issues I usually avoid and explore them meaningfully. Going so deep in a judgment-free space was beautiful. I felt free to explore myself without fear of the ‘ugly,’ and left realizing that true freedom is about how I feel in my body and with myself.”
- Barbara A.

Who This is For
You don’t need somatics or expressive arts experience, but some familiarity with inner work, such as therapy, journaling, or contemplative practice, will support you. This program is for women feeling called to deepen and expand self-intimacy through the embodied arts. If you feel a disconnect between body and mind, sense that pleasure has become muted or challenging, or are tired of self-improvement that feels like more effort, this may be a good fit for you.
You will be asked to move on camera and actively engage with other participants, in a non-judgmental and thoughtfully structured manner. If you struggle with visibility, this is a great opportunity to practice letting yourself be seen.
My role here is educator and facilitator, not therapist. You must be able to support yourself without need for therapeutic care from me. A process like this can surface challenging emotions and delicate personal material. If you feel you'll need focused support and you're not currently working with a therapist, I am happy to discuss one-to-one work alongside the group container. Please reach out directly to inquire.
What You'll Need
Because we'll be working remotely, there are a few things to arrange for yourself ahead of time:
- Newsprint paper
- Oil pastels
- Notebook and pen
- Blankets
- Pillows and/or a Yoga bolster
- Candles
You will also need a private space where you can move freely, standing, sitting, and lying down.
Camera-on participation is required, with brief breaks whenever you need them. This work depends on real presence and mutual witnessing, and the group container only holds if everyone in it can commit to being there.
Facilitation: Ana Liz Ceregatti
Ana Liz supports people in shifting from a relationship of control over the body and self into one of deep intimacy, trust, and creative flow - one of true care.
Her approach meets the body as a place of wisdom and as our primary source of connection, meaning, and creativity.
She is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator (RSMT/E) and a Certified Practitioner of the Tamalpa Life/Art Process®, a Movement-Based Expressive Arts methodology applied in therapy, education, social justice initiatives, and artistic practice + performance around the world.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need movement or expressive arts experience?
You don’t need somatics or expressive arts experience, but some familiarity with inner work, such as therapy, journaling, or contemplative practice, will support you. This work isn’t about "making it right", but about expressing truthfully. Every practice is an invitation to explore at your own pace, and being a beginner in the approach is welcome, even a gift.
How much time should I set aside?
Each live session runs 120min. Between sessions, you’ll receive short self-paced practices, which take about 20-60 minutes, once between sessions. The pacing is gentle; this isn’t about doing more, but about giving the body space and opportunity to shape itself anew.
Will anything sexual happen in the group?
No. In the group, we explore pleasure through the senses, movement, creative expression, shared presence, and rest. Sexual pleasure is explored only in a private, optional solo practice that you do on your own time. Nothing is ever shared unless you choose to share it, and how you participate in each practice is always your choice.
What happens in a session?
Each session weaves guided movement, sensory awareness, expressive arts practice such as drawing, writing, dancing, and voicing, and time to reflect and share. You’ll need a private space with room to move and some simple art materials. You can always adjust as needed. Camera-on participation is required, with brief breaks whenever you need them.
Why four months?
Two sessions a month leaves space between encounters for what we explore to settle into daily life. The body takes time to learn new ways and to integrate experience. Pleasure grows slowly too, and this pace lets it take root. My wish is also to offer time for meaningful connections to grow between participants.
What if I miss a live session?
Sessions are recorded and shared with participants, so you can catch up at your own pace, though attending live is encouraged, as much of the experience happens in the group. Recordings remain available until May 1st. They will not include participant's verbal sharing of personal material.
Is this therapy?
Though therapeutic in its nature, Returning to Pleasure is an educational group process, grounded in somatic movement and expressive arts. It can be deeply transformative, but it isn’t a substitute for individual therapy or specialized care. If you’re navigating active trauma or crisis, feel free to reach out before registering so we can consider together whether this group is the right fit right now.
Is this only for women?
Yes. Returning to Pleasure was created as a space for women to explore how pleasure, shame, and the body have been shaped by feminine socialization and personal history, together, in community.
What if I don't feel much, or something difficult comes up?
Both are welcome, and both are part of the process. Numbness, shame, or grief often show up on the way back to pleasure. We meet whatever arises with curiosity and care, at a pace that respects your body. A 30-minute private session with me is included with enrollment to support you with anything challenging that might come up. If you feel you will need further support and are not currently working with a therapist, we can discuss one-to-one work in addition to the group.
Does online somatic practice really work?
Yes. If you haven't tried it, you will be surprised by the depth we can reach online. Having worked with somatics both in person and online for years, as a therapist, teacher, and student, I’ve found that neither format is better; each has its own gifts. For a program exploring pleasure this deeply, practicing at home offers comfort, privacy, and your own resources. Throughout, I’ll invite you to shape your space in ways that support your pleasure, so that what you build here becomes a practice you can keep long after we close.
